Dorm Life Reminder and a Book

I am sort of reminded of dorm life tonight.  I am assuming I have some relatively new neighbors, because I have not noticed this before.  They are not being too disruptive, but every so often, they will step outside, and I will hear them laughing loudly.  It sounds like drunken laughter.  I think they may be stepping outside to smoke, but I am not quite sure.  It has not been too much of a nuisance that it requires me stepping outside and telling them politely to keep it quiet because of our sleeping neighbors.  I guess I may have gotten use to the obnoxiousness of the dorm life.  Kind of bad, considering I have not lived in the dorms in nearly three years.

I have decided to try reading one of the many unread books in my collection.  It is Stephen King's book, 'Salem's Lot.  I have not really ever gotten into any of his books.  I find them to be dry at the beginning, but since this book is in my collection (primarily because it is about vampires), I may as well read it.  It may persuade me to dig through my collection and read other books that I have ignored.  Maybe this will prevent me from spending money on new books for a while.  I seriously doubt it.  One can hope though, right?
