Visits and Stuff

The last minute visit from my boyfriend's parents is over.  They flew home today.  I did not see them while they were here.  I really had no desire to.  Rob, however, commented on at least four occasions how well the visit was going.  He even commented that it was the best visit he had had with his parents in years.  Considering what I have heard from him about the trips home, and what I saw first hand last time they were down here, that does not come as a surprise.  I hope the next time I see them, things will go better between us than the first visit, because I honestly do not know what they think of me.  That is okay, though.  What I saw of them was not exactly favorable, either.

Rob convinced me to start looking for copies of older movies.  The ones he has me looking for right now are John Wayne movies.  I think I have seen two, 'El Dorado' and 'The Longest Day'.  I may or may not have seen more.  I do not keep track of some of the older movies I have seen.  While looking up older movies, though, I decided I would start trying to track down some of the music that I discovered while I was in England.

While I do not mind the radio stations over in Europe, they do have a habit of overplaying the popular songs.  When I was stationed in England, if a popular song came out and it did not have a techno beat, someone would remix the song so that it did.  Imagine Eminem rapping to a techno beat.  It did not sound right.  Another thing they had a habit of doing was repeating the entire playlist after a while.  The playlists got so predictable that one would have to change radio stations for a slight chance at hearing something different.

I want to find some of the stuff I used to listen to while I was over there.  I already found one French singer who I enjoyed.  Maybe I will find more soon.
