Cold (Two)

It warmed up in Oklahoma City for a couple days, and then the temperatures plummeted again.  It is somewhere in the teens right now, with a slight wind that makes it feel colder.  At least the wind is not raging like the last cold spell.  The skies have been fairly clear, too.  The only thing it did the last time was spit some sleet and snow tiny pellets of ice.  Enough to make the wind seen as it traveled down the road, but not enough to cause any major traffic issues.

Seattle is a different matter, though.  I think the last time it snowed that much in the Seattle area was my eighth grade year, which would have put it late '96 or early '97.  That was when the roof of a nearby marina collapsed, which was the only thing the news stations would show for the next few days afterward.  It is still snowing up there.  I imagine traffic ought to be rather interesting up there this coming week.  They were expecting high winds, too, but I am not sure whether the winds actually got up that high.

About emeree

I am an Air Force veteran. I served as a Security Forces troop for nearly seven years and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant before separating in 2008. My tours of duty were in England and Oklahoma. I live in the Seattle area, which is where I grew up. I used my GI Bill and earned a degree from the University of Washington. I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.
