Moving Forward

As I was browsing through the news late last night, I found it remarkable how quickly President Obama is moving to ensure he fulfills his promises.  He has called for a stop to the tribunals at Guantanamo Bay and there is now word that he has drafted orders to close the facility.  I found this rather interesting for one reason.  If that facility is closed down, what will become of those detained there? I doubt they would be automatically released, so where would they be housed? The article I read mentioned three possible choices in California, North Carolina, and of course, Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.  Of course, there is an outcry from the politicians representing those states.  I will be watching this closely as it develops.

I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.
