Since I needed a break from the wolf cross-stitch project I have been working on, I decided to finish up the elephant project I found yesterday. I did part of it while waiting for my laundry to finish the other night, and finished the rest tonight. The only things left to do is wash it, let it dry, press it, and decide what I am going to do with it. It will probably join another small project on my fridge.
My parents and I have a running joke about different shades of thread. This stems off a needlepoint project Mom did years ago of a Siamese cat on a pink pillow. There were quite a few different shades of pink, and she got frustrated more than once.
This project has three shades of blue, one of which they tried to disguise by calling it "blue gray", and two shades of pink. I had fun separating the pinks and two darker blues.
Anyway, I will be continuing the wolf project shortly. It is slowly coming along. I cannot give a decent estimate on when I will be finished with that one.
