The Drama Continues

Just when everything seems to be nice and quiet, I get blindsided with more drama than I know what to do with.  Anyone else have that happen?

First, a friend of mine is facing his second divorce later this year.  I honestly see no way around it, either.  I talked to both sides this weekend, and they both are thoroughly convinced of their other half's serious issues.  Granted, they both acknowledge having issues and are taking steps to deal with them, but they do not seem to realize the other half is, as well.  I cannot yet make heads or tails of which side has the more accurate story.  I hope to eventually.  The sooner the better.  I do not want to be stuck in the middle of this.

Second, I got an e-mail from my mother saying a cousin of mine is having issues with alcohol and how the family is trying to decide the best course of action to help him.  This will be especially difficult, because it does not seem like my cousin realizes his problem yet.  My mother and I had talked recently of how it had been a while since we heard anything about this person, and it seems we now know why, unfortunately.

So, I am beginning to think that if things start to get quiet, then I should be worried.

I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.

  1. Being stuck in the middle is never a good feeling. Hope none of this drags you down too much.
