A New Year

And life rumbles on.  The family drama continues.

To be more specific, my cousin's husband decided he could no longer handle being married and basically walked out on his wife and their two young sons, the youngest of which is nearly eight months old, just two weeks before Christmas.  There is no word on which direction this separation will head, but most of my family and, from the sounds of it, his family are horrified by the entire situation.  My cousin is doing the best she can, and she has many friends and family stepping in to help out where needed.

The holiday season was relatively quiet beyond that.  I am glad things are quieting down in the store, because I was getting quite weary of the huge crowds, especially any time I happened to need to wander over in the general direction of the electronics, entertainment, or toy department.  Walking anywhere near those areas would end with an employee struggling for nearly twenty minutes to get out and finish the simple task that took them near that area to begin with, and that is if the employee is lucky.

More to come.

About emeree

I am an Air Force veteran. I served as a Security Forces troop for nearly seven years and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant before separating in 2008. My tours of duty were in England and Oklahoma. I live in the Seattle area, which is where I grew up. I used my GI Bill and earned a degree from the University of Washington. I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.
