Kitty Rivalry?

I wondered earlier today whether or not cats compete with each other over various things.  Here is the situation that led to my pondering.

There was a large fly in the house this morning.  My cats were rather interested in it, especially Colby and Cheddar.  They chased it around the living room and kitchen repeatedly.  Eventually, though, they lost interest and settled down for naps.  My parents' cats were still downstairs in their room.  They are usually kept in that room to make sure they actually eat the food placed before them.  They have been known to get so interested in what people are doing in the house that they forget to eat their food.  Well, they were still down there, because I had not gotten around to letting them back up.

When I did let them back upstairs, Tuxedo within ten seconds had gone into the kitchen, decided to look out the window, jumped up to the windowsill, spotted the large fly, caught it, and eaten it.  I could almost hear him saying to the other cats, "Ha ha! I got the fly!" It was rather amusing for me.
