The Joys of Sunburns

I went on a cruise last week with several friends who I met while stationed in England.  For some stupid reason, I decided not to wear as much sunscreen as I obviously needed.  The result has been a rather  uncomfortable week of enduring the resulting sunburns on my shins, arms, and shoulders.  My mom keeps joking that I am molting.  Gr.  If I could get rid of the scabs on my shoulders, then I would be very happy.  The sunburns there were so bad that they were blistering over the weekend.  Joy.

Overall, though, the trip was very enjoyable and I hope we are able to plan another.  I will write another entry with a brief rundown on our adventures later today.  Right now, it is 0100 and I am feeling the need for sleep.

About emeree

I am an Air Force veteran. I served as a Security Forces troop for nearly seven years and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant before separating in 2008. My tours of duty were in England and Oklahoma. I live in the Seattle area, which is where I grew up. I used my GI Bill and earned a degree from the University of Washington. I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.
