Midterm

I just finished midterms for all three classes.  And I have no idea how I did.  This quarter is probably one of the hardest quarters I have encountered in my collegiate career.  With the midterms coming back in the next week or so, I should have an idea of what I need to do to push forward in the classes.

Part of the my problem is that I am not a philosopher, and I am currently taking  two philosophy classes.  I will not be making that mistake again.  One class is about crime and punishment, the other about human rights.  The latter is easily the most difficult class I am taking this quarter.  Philosophy is new territory for me, so it is taking me a little longer to get used to the different terms, ideas, whatever one wants to call them.

Family issues are continuing.  Nothing majorly new there.  Mom and her youngest sister have decided to start visiting my grandparents more frequently.  My grandfather desperately needs and wants the stimulation of an intelligent conversation.  I can only imagine how many time he has to explain different things to my grandmother throughout the day, especially if something is breaking their routine.

Otherwise, I am quietly plugging along.  Nothing drastically important is coming up for me, other than term papers which I will need start gathering information for.  I am aware of Valentine’s Day coming up, but I will be doing nothing special for it.  Another routine day of class, studying, cats, martial arts, possibly needlework, etc.

I currently work in downtown Seattle and experience all the adventure that comes with that.
