Daily Prompt: Writing Room

A genie has granted your wish to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

I would have a very spacious room.  And it would not just be for reading and writing.  I would have to have my needlework in there, as well.  There would be a long couch for me to stretch out on with fuzzy blankets and pillows.  I might also have a recliner in case I wanted to change it up.  On one wall would be a large bookshelf holding all the books I could ever dream of wanting to read.  There would also be a large cabinet holding all my needlework supplies.  The room would be painted a light green and the furniture would either be a very dark green, gray, or black.  The bookshelf, cabinet, and other wooden furniture would be a dark wood.  I would have a lamp capable of changing brightness settings.  I do require a  fair amount of light to stitch.  I can stitch without a bright light, but prefer not to.  This I find interesting since I used to stitch in any light that was available and did have a preference, so long as I could see what I was doing.  I must be getting older.  Hee…  There would also be a large window for myself and my cats to look out of.  I would also have a TV mounted on a wall so I could turn on something for background noise.  I think that is it.  Fairly simple.  I do not need anything too extravagant.
